Why we replaced HHC with Kanna
HHC (hexahydrocannabinol) became popular as a legal grey-market alternative. Once regulators in France, the Netherlands, the UK and most of the EU restricted it in 2023–2024, the entire category became unstable for retailers and risky for buyers. Rather than chase another semi-synthetic cannabinoid through the same cycle, we built out a Kanna line.
Kanna (sceletium tortuosum) is a South African succulent with centuries of traditional use among the indigenous Khoisan and San peoples for mood support and to ease the stresses of long travel. It acts on serotonin pathways rather than cannabinoid receptors — which is exactly why it remains legal across the UK and EU as a food supplement, while HHC does not.
